Jan Witt takes over the responsibility for Volkswagen Passenger Cars and ŠKODA brand in Russia

Moscow, July 1, 2022 – As a part of a reshuffling at VOLKSWAGEN Group Rus, Jan Witt who is currently executing the function of Managing Director of VOLKSWAGEN Group Rus will get additional functions and also lead the Volkswagen Passenger Cars and the ŠKODA brand in Russia.

In his new function as the Head of Volkswagen Passenger Cars Jan Witt takes over from Michael Arndt, the appointment is effective July 1, 2022. Petr Šolc will be in charge for ŠKODA brand till September 1, 2022. Starting from July 1st Michael Arndt will have a new job in Audi AG and from October 1st, 2022 he will start working in China as President FAW Audi Sales Co. The new position of Petr Šolc within VOLKSWAGEN Group will be announced later.

Jan Witt graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering and received a postgraduate degree in European Enterprise Management at Bournemouth University. He started his career in 1995 at Daimler-Benz and worked in Germany in various positions in Sales&Service for over ten years. In 2009, Jan Witt took up the position of Vice President After Sales Russia at Mercedes- Benz Russia. In 2012, he joined Volkswagen Group and in 2013 he became After Sales Group Director at Volkswagen Mexico. From 2015 to 2021, Jan Witt had been Senior Vice President After Sales Management at MAN Truck&Bus headquarter in Munich. In July 2021 he was appointed Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Rus with responsibility for Group Sales, Marketing and Aftersales.
