Anniversary ŠKODA RAPID: the 250,000th vehicle manufactured in KalugaMoscow, August 25, 2021 — VOLKSWAGEN Group Rus’ Kaluga plant produced the 250,000th ŠKODA RAPID. The anniversary Hockey Edition compact urban liftback features a Ruby Red metallic livery. ŠKODA RAPID full cycle (CKD) production under Volkswagen Group's high global standards was localized in Kaluga in 2014.
ŠKODA AUTO Russia opens a new chapter, with the Kaluga plant rolling out the 250,000th compact urban liftback. The anniversary vehicle produced is a Hockey Edition version with a Ruby Red metallic livery.

The Czech automaker offers ŠKODA RAPID with the choice of three four-cylinder petrol engines: two 1.6 MPI engines with the output of 90 and 110 hp and one 1.4 TSI turbocharged engine with the 125 hp output. Customers can choose from Entry, Active, Ambition, and Style configurations offering different equipment packages and additional options, as well as features enhancing comfort.
RAPID full cycle (CKD) production was localized in Kaluga in February 2014 and is fully compliant with all Volkswagen Group global standards. The latest generation of this compact liftback has been produced since 2020. Furthermore, the Kaluga plant has been manufacturing 1.6 MPI petrol engines, available for ŠKODA RAPID, among other offers, since 2015.
